Honesty is very crucial in a relationship and that’s not something that can be replaced. There will be white lies here and there, but for the most part, couples should strive to be as open and honest with each other as possible. If you and your significant other are continuously fighting because one of you is dishonest all the time, it’s a sign that you must break up.
2. You want different things from the relationship
When you and your partner keep fighting about the future, you both should take a closer look at whether you’re with the right person or not. It is inevitable that couples will argue and disagree over certain things. Neither of these things necessarily cause for breaking up. But if you two figure out that there are different things you both want out of your relationship and neither of you is going to compromise, it’s time you both move on.
3. One of you has jealousy or control issues
Jealousy can play against a relationship in a big way. Fights lead due to jealousy can tear your relationship apart and can even lead to controlling behaviour. If you’re in a relationship where you both constantly fight about feeling controlled, you shouldn’t be together.
4. You say things that are very mean or hurtful
People make mistakes and sometimes, you can’t help what you say in the heat of the moment. But sure signs of an unhealthy conflict are when one or both of you inflict damage, create a deliberate lack of security in the relationship. If during fights you say and do things that you know will hurt the other person deeply, it only tells how quickly you need to end the relationship.
5. One of you blames the other for everything
Playing a blame-game, disregarding, criticizing, belittling the other person is never going to help a relationship. Partners who repeatedly blame the other person, while refusing to take any responsibility for their own action, aren’t safe. Safe relationships don’t require one of you being blamed for everything and you should get out of yours sooner than later.
