When Aaron joined the Dead End Band at the age of seven, it marked the beginning of his singing career. Later, as his older brother entered the fame, he started a solo singing career. When he was nine years old, in March 1997, in Berlin, he had his first solo appearance as the opening act for his brother Nick Carter’s band, the Backstreet Boys.
Carter has also experimented with acting. In the television shows “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch” (1996), “7th Heaven” (1996), and “Lizzie McGuire” (2001), he had several appearances.
In 2009, Carter made a brief appearance on Dancing with the Stars’ ninth season, dancing with Karina Smirnoff. The two were placed fifth after being eliminated.
